Join us for a day filled with instruction from Nashville Songwriters, Publishers, Performers and other industry professionals.

During the “Life of a Song” Workshop: Hear from some of the music industry’s most prominent songwriters as they share insights and knowledge about the publishing industry, techniques, their experiences in collaborating with other writers, and the steps involved in taking a song from a simple idea, all the way to pitching to a publisher.

  • Writing; Art of Storytelling
  • Wrensong Publishing: A Look Into the Publishing Process
  • Writer/Publisher Panel: Student Song Evaluations

You can submit your original song!

Students attending the Life of a Song Workshop may submit one (1) original song for consideration.  Three winners will be chosen to be the opening act that evening at the Capitol Theatre!

Remember, to be considered, you must be a part of the Songwriters Workshop.

Evening Benefit Concert

7:00pm

  • Instruments of Change welcomes the Robin Zander Band in a concert to benfit at-risk children.  Comprised of Cheap Trick frontman Robin Zander, drummer Steve Luongo, guitarist Mark Hitt and bassist Larry Hobbs.  The group appeared for the first time officially as The Robin Zander Band on Saturday, February 23rd, 2013 at a small venue in Fort Myers, FL
  • The Instructors from the Songwriters Workshop; professional singer/songwriters will perform “in the row”.   Each artist will share the story behind the song.
  • The Student/Songwriters from the Workshop will perform their original songs.
