April 11, 2014

The Tampa Bay Lightning honored our founder, Glen Schubert, as the 41st Lightning Community Hero of the year during the first period of tonight’s game against the Columbus Blue Jackets. Mr. Schubert, who received a $50,000 donation from the Lightning Foundation and the Lightning Community Heroes program, will donate the money to Instruments of Change®, Ruth Eckerd Hall, and the Boys and Girls Club.

The Highlights

The Tampe Bay Lightning treated us to an amazing evening at the St Pete Times Forum. Starting with a “backstage” tour, we were sitting on the bench when the team took to the ice for their pregame warm up. This was followed by a meeting with Lightning owner Jeff Vinik where our Lightning Community Hero was presented with $50,000 in donations to Instruments of Change, Ruth Eckerd Hall and the Boys and Girls Clubs of Tampa Bay.

Thank you to Jabil Circuit and our host Clint Belinsky, we really enjoyed the game in the Jabil Circuit Community Hero Suite!
